Hamlet's Office Supply Store
Polonious: Polonious can best be described as a paper clip. Paper clips are meant to keep papers together. In Hamlet, Polonious kept his family together by giving advice and keeping an eye on his children. He says to Laertes, "Give your thoughts to yourself, And don’t act without thinking. Be friendly, but by no means vulgar... My blessing instill these things in you!" (I.III.) And also tells Ophelia to stay away from Hamlet. Just like a paper clip, when broken all the papers fall apart. When Polonious dies, Ophelia and Laertes lose it. Polonious is the clip paper and his children are the sheets of paper in which he keeps intact.
Claudius: Claudius can most likely is associated with a pair of scissors. Scissors cut paper or other things. In Hamlet, he destroys things. He kills the King which cuts Denmark, Hamlet and the rest in half. It is a tragedy and he is the one to blame. It is evident that due to his cut in Hamlet's family and heart, Hamlet feels the way he does. He refers to Claudius as, "A murderer and a villain; A slave that is not twentieth part the tithe Of your precedent lord; a vice of kings; A cutpurse of the empire and the rule, That from a shelf the precious diadem stole, And put it in his pocket!" (III.IV) Once a paper is cut by a scissor, there is no way to completely fix it. the same concept applies to Hamlet. Claudius cuts him in half by killing his father and he will never be the same person again.
Horatio: Horatio can be compared to a ruler. A ruler is straight and meant to measure length. Throughout the play, he pretty much straight like a ruler. He remains a loyal and faithful friend to Hamlet. He follows the rules and tries to not get too involved in any one's life. In the end, he is the only one besides prince Fortinbras to remain alive. In Act 1, Scene 2 Horatio tells Hamlet that he is skipping school to go visit him and Hamlet says, "I would not hear your enemy say so, Nor shall you do mine ear that violence, To make it truster of your own report Against yourself. I know you are no truant." (I.II) Even then we see that Horatio always follows the rules and is wise, similar to a ruler.

To be or Not to be Flowers
Bouquet:
Ophelia - Chrysanthemum, Hydrangea, and Snapdragon. Chrysanthemum stand for fidelity, Hydrangea signify heartfelt and snapdragon symbolize desire. Through the play Ophelia stays faithful to the men in her life- Hamlet and her father. Both men manipulate her, however, she still loves them both. Hydrangea are in the boutique because she is one of the few character that we actually get emotionally involved with. Snapdragon symbolizes her desire for acceptance throughout the play. In the end, she does not achieve that desire and kills herself.
Gertrude - Apocynum, Primrose, and Tuberoses. All three flowers consist of negative connotations. Apocynum signifies falsehood and deception. Gertrude puts on this fake act that she's mourning, while Hamlet is actually sad that his father died. Primroses reflect inconsistency. It is evident that she knows more than she pretends. She is inconsistent because she claims that she's in "mourning" for the King, however, she got married to his brother right after his death. Lastly, tuberoses represent dangerous pleasures. She knows that marrying Claudius looks really weird but she does it because of the pleasure that will come of it.
Claudius - Adder's-Tongue, Achillea, and Black Rose. Adder's-Tongue signifies jealously. Caludius is jealous of his brother's power, family and wife and that is why he kills him. Achillea represents war. Claudius is at war with everyone as well as himself. He slowly feels overcome with guilt for his brother's death. And black rose is a foreshadow of death. Claudius kills his brother, tries to kill Hamlet and he eventually gets killed by Hamlet.
Hamlet - Amaryllis, Sweet Peas and Tulips. Amaryllis represent Pride. Hamlet has the oppurtunity to kill Claudius because he has too much pride to kill a man while's praying. He also shows excessive pride when he challenges Laertes to battle him over dead Ophelia's love. Sweet Peas signify departure. Hamlet leaves to England to escape from Denmark for a bit. And tulips are declaration of love. In the end, he realizes and declares his love for Ophelia.

Sonnet
Thou father has died, O what a nightmare.
A dreadful death by a deadly serpent,
In the orchard killed by the next heir.
Prince Hamlet must make his uncle repent.
Pleasure and power, a killer's motive
Married his brother's queen shortly after,
convinced everyone to be supportive
and even planed to have his nephew's slaughter.
His plan was to pretend being crazy
in hopes of decieving all of Denmark.
But as the play goes on, he gets lazy
and going to England gives him that spark.
When the story ends, everyone is dead.
What a shame! Hamlet has so much ahead

Barnyard Hamlet
Scene 1
Barnardo: Who's there?
Francisco: I think I hear them.
Horatio: Friends to this ground
[Enter GHOST]
Barnardo: In the same figure like the king that's dead.
Horatio: Before my God, I might not believe Without the sensible and true avouch Of mine own eyes.
Marcellus: Thus twice before.
[Enter GHOST]
Horatio: Stay, illusion!
[The cock crows]
Barnardo: It was about to speak when the cock crew.
Scene 2
Claudius: We here dispatch You, good Cornelius, and you Voltemand, For bearers of this greeting to old norway.
Cornelius, Voltemand: In that and all things will we show our duty.
Laertes: Your leave and favor to return to France.
Hamlet: A little more than kin and less than kind.
Gertrude: Good Hamlet, cast thy nighted color off, And let thine eye look like a friend on Denmark.
Hamlet: I shall in all my best obey you, madam.
Horatio: Hail to your leadership
Hamlet: But what, in faith, make you from Wittenberg
Horatio: My lord, I think I saw him yesternight
Marcellus, Barnardo: We do, my lord
Hamlet: I will watch tonight. Perchance 'Twill walk again

The American Dream
In the 1920's the american dream represented being able to come to a new country and become something of yourself. However, the american dream has changed very much. We no longer have desire to work hard to obtain luxuries. On the other hand, we seek the "fast money". Our generation's sole purpose in life is to get money; whether it be through drugs, sex, music or art. In the picture above, it is symbolic how the girl has a rosary on her legs. God is below the sign which says "Money. Kush. Sex. Music. Art." We put our riches and desires before god. The American Dream has gone from a hardworking mentality to a sex-based foundation.
