Tiresias- Yellow
Usually, yellow signifies that there is a desire and hope of greater happiness, which implies some minor conflict in which release is needed. I chose yellow for Tiresias because he refuses to tell the Oedipus of his visions in order to not start a conflict.
Creon - Blue
Blue is seen as trustworthy, dependable, and committed. I chose blue for Creon because although Oedipus thought he was against him, he ended up being trustworthy and loyal to the very end.
Oedipus - Purple
Archetypically, purple stands for royalty and honorable. Oedipus is the king of Thebes. He is the only man that is able to solve the riddle of the Sphinx, which puts him above all men of Thebes. He is honored and loved by the people.
Shepard - Brown
Brown says stability, reliability, and approachability. The shepherd will wear brown because he is source to which Oedipus must go to to seek the truth of this past. He chose to maintain the life and stability of Oedipus when he was a baby, so he gave it to the king of Corinth.
Messenger - Gray
Gray is timeless, practical, solid and associate with loss. The messenger went from Corinth to Thebes to tell Oedipus that his "father" has died and the people of Corinth want him to be their king.
Jocasta- Red
Red is strongly connected with two emotions love and aggression. Jocasta loves Oedipus and want him to stop seeking the truth of the past for his own benefit. As soon as she puts all the details together, she realizes that the prophesies have all came true. Her biggest fear came true and that is why she killed herself.

Jocasta's Diary
Dear Diary,
It has been a very hectic and weird day. Today the people of Thebes and its leaders came to my husband regarding the plague that has fallen upon us. It is a horrifying and sickening thought that the people of my city are losing their crops and their children and wives are dying. It was an understatement when the priest told Oedipus "Thebes is dying." (31.) I have seen the citizens with my own eyes and it is a horrible site. Although we are being hit by this plague, I do not understand why the people come to my husband. I understand that he is their king but he is human just like them. I fear for my husband, but I am confident that he can help us. Today, Oedipus and Creon got into an argument. It breaks my heart to see them fighting. I believe that my brother just wants to help him. Can you believe that my husband thinks that he wants to take the crown away from him? I just don't understand where he would get that from. Just because my brother and Tiresias have known each other for a long time, does not mean that they have united to ruin Oedipus. Tiresias is a liar but that has nothing to do with my brother! I cannot believe that he told my husband, "You are the curse, the corruption of the land." (401.) I simply don't understand. I remember the prophecy that was told to my husband a long time ago about our son and Oedipus could not be the killer. I am sure. Prophecies are just lies told by the gods and their priest to miniplate our lives. Laius and I got rid of our son by sending him away to get killed. My biggest worry is that Oedipus might be overthinking this whole sitution. He seemed troublesome when i said to him, "But Laius, so the report goes at least, was killed by strangers, thieves, at a place where three roads meet. . ." (788-790.) I am fearful that he will discover something that will be the doom the my family and city. I pray to the gods that everything works out in our favor. I shall go do as I was told and send to the shepherd at once.

Attention Seekers
[RHYME SCHEME THROUGHOUT ENTIRE CANTO]
Dante recovers from his swoon and finds himself in the FOURTH CIRCLE. He looks around and discovers the flames that surround him. He spots hideous creatures burning in flames. They seem to be yelling, pleading for help but he could hear nothing. These are the ATTENTION-SEEKERS. In life they did whatever possible to seek the attention of others, whether it was good or bad attention. Here they lie through all eternity in flames, burning and yelling for attention but mute. And as they are silently screaming, there are flesh eating bugs eating at their feet as they in life did everything possible so that people would kiss their feet.
As I awoke from my short time of darkness
I felt upon me a sudden flash of heat.
I felt unsettle but saw my master, his greatness.
He led me into the level but said to be discrete
these creatures before me were frightful to my eyes.
They were in flames from head to feet
and seem to be screaming for help but the cries
were awfully desperate but silent.
Underneath them were enormous flesh-eating flies.
These souls in eternal pain loved judgment,
by the people who cared the least
and made sure to be the center of every moment.
As I looked to my right, I saw a beautiful beast,
beautiful yet it was the one being punished the most.
The face seem familiar to me, a resident of the east,
whom I remember actively being in the news post.
I walked towards her: “O you who burn in flames and
rot in silence, are you Kim Kardashian in a form of a ghost?’
And she said to me: “Yes, it was me and I demand
that you take a picture of me for others to see
my pain and give it to a news reporter in your land.”
I was taken back. She was suffering in such a high degree
of pain and that was all she could think about.
Recovering from the shock, I saw my guide by a tree.
He said to me: “She is hopeless and will soon be wiped out.
Are you ready to continue moving along?”
I was tempted to say no because I wanted to take a timeout.
However, i knew the journey was still long.
So i said yes to my guide,
even though it felt wrong.

Interview with Aeneas
Hero Magazine
presents
Interview with Aeneas
Me: Hello Aeneas! I'm Nidia from Hero Magazine. Here to ask you a few questions that our readers want to ask you.
Aeneas: Sure, ask away!
Me: Question 1, What's your definition of Fate?
Aeneas: Well my definition of fate is our duty while we are alive. Fate falls upon us even before we are born. Neither the gods nor us humans can control fate. We may choose to go against it but that is a coward thing to do.
Me: That was very well put. Question 2, How does it feel to be the only Trojan to survive the Trojan War?
Aeneas: It is a privilege to still be alive. I am very grateful to the gods. But like any human, it hurts me to witness my whole family dead. If it was up to me, my people would not have died but im happy to be alive right now.
Me: Of course, we all need our companions. Question 3, Do you feel like it was your fate for the Trojans to lose the war?
Aeneas: I truly do believe that it was fate. All the events that occured happened due to fate. It was all pre-set and there was nothing anybody could do. The greeks defeated us but the trojan ideals continue to expand and develop.
Me: The trojan blood will always live on through you. Question 4, Did you ever turn against your fate?
Aeneas: I did not turn against it. I knew that it was my duty to protect my people and migrate to another land. Hector and my wife came to me for a reason. Hector told me to flee and my wife told me to make landfall on Hesperia, which is now Italy. There was no other option; It was my fate.
Me: Seems like you have a strong belief in fate. Question 5, Whats your opinion on the god's roals in the war?
Aeneas: Personally, the original problem was between the gods. There was no need to include humans into the conflicts between them. For example, Paris should have never been chosen to pick who recieved the golden apple. Due to that one decision, my land is destoried. They caused the war, they should have faught it. And after it started, they should have let us fight our battles, not intervine the way they did.
Me: You are so right! You said perviously that Hector and your wife appeared to you. So question 6, Do you feel like that was the gods?
Aeneas: No, i feel that it was more due to fate. The gods had nothing to do with the dreams and ghost of my wife. It was my fate to discover Italy and that's exactly what happened.
Me: That leads me to my next question, Do you worship the gods?
Aeneas: Of course, I do. My mother, Venus, is a god. I must worship her and the others. Altough fate plays a major part in our lives, the gods are very important and we must worship and offer sacrifices to them.
Me: So it is known that you saw Helen hiding behind the doorsill of the Vesta. Did you not kill her?
Aeneas: Well a very improtant reason is that my mother came and stopped me. She spoke to me and made a good point. Altough she was the cause of all this, I could not harm a woman. No glory comes from punishing a woman. I relaxed and simply let it go.
Me: Thats very courageous of you, for anyone else would have just killed her. And lastly, Do you consider yourself a hero?
Aeneas: I do not consider myself a hero. It was fate that played a role in all this. It was my fate to watch Troy get destoried and start a journey to the new land. I believe very much in fate and the control that it takes over our lives. It was not easy and i was able to live through everything but if it wasnt meant to happen then it wouldnt have. Because of fate, Im the person i am now.
